How We’re Making a Difference
Maua, Kenya Community Health works closely with schools in the villages through medical, educational and physical activities. We’ve found that soccer is a great outlet, mentally and physically, for all the children.
Unfortunately, standard soccer balls don’t last more than a day or so on the rough Kenyan terrain. The children in Maua will make balls out of anything they can find. We need durable soccer balls that can survive the impact of rocks, sticks, etc. on the playing fields at the schools.
The One World Futbol, a soccer ball that never needs a pump and never goes flat, is the solution! We’re running this campaign with One World Play Project to raise these ultra-durable soccer balls to place in each village around the catchment area of the Maua Methodist Hospital for the benefit of the school children.
When a clinic visits a school, we’ll present the One World Futbols to the school’s headmaster. The school’s children will learn how the soccer balls were donated and why they’re so important. We cannot wait to see their smiles and hear their laughter as they play!
Help us make a difference in Kenya, and support our campaign today!
Through this campaign, we raised 68 One World Futbols.
