“Changemakers” List Recognizes Greatest Positive Change Among B Corporations
Evaluated by Comprehensive B Impact Assessment
September 5, 2018—BERKELEY, CA—Today, One World Play Project, Inc., (oneworldplayproject.com) is recognized on the Best For The World: Changemakers (#bestfortheworld18) list, which honors positive impact and behavior change among Certified B Corporations across all categories on the B Impact Assessment. A Certified B Corporation since its inception in July 2010, One World Play Project is a social impact company that creates ultra-durable products to enable play for all. The company’s flagship product, the unpoppable One World FutbolTM, never needs a pump and never goes flat. It is designed to withstand the toughest playing conditions in the world—where ordinary soccer balls often fail—so youth everywhere can play and thrive. One World Play Project was an early adopter of the B Labs movement. Today there are more than 2,400 Certified B Corporations across more than 150 industries and 50 countries, unified by one common goal: to redefine success in business. To certify as B Corporations, companies like One World Play Project must complete the full assessment and have their answers verified by B Lab and recertify every three years. The Best For The World: Changemakers list honors the improvement made by B Corporations from one certification to the next. The full B Impact Assessment evaluates a company’s environmental performance, employee relationships, diversity, involvement in the local community, the impact a company’s product or service has on those it serves, and more. Honorees making significant improvements in their B Impact score set a gold standard for the high impact that business as a force for good can make in the world.
The 203 companies on the Best For The World: Changemakers list come from 66 different industries and 16 countries.
